Outpost hardware employs modern 'always on' Internet technologies to bring your sensors into the online age. A requirement of the OutpostCentral solution is that a computer server is always connected to the Internet so that your Outpost devices always have somewhere to send their data. This architecture ensures that multiple authorised users can access your data over high-speed connections.

There are several options available to OutpostCentral customers for the hosting of this server infrastructure.

Level 1: OutpostCentral takes care of the lot! Customers can make use of the OutpostCentral Internet environment for a small monthly fee. This level makes the complex workings of the Internet completely invisible to our customers - you don't even need to own a computer. Log in to the OutpostCentral data analysis website from any Internet connected computer from anywhere in the world.

Level 2: Some of our customers have strict branding and different application requirements to the standard OutpostCentral website but still want to take advantage of our hosting facilities and would rather not manage the telecommunication costs themselves. This level allows either the customer or our developers to customise a front-end website.

Level 3: When you already have an internal IT Infrastructure in your organisation and would rather host the database and website yourself, an OutpostCentral Enterprise license can be purchased to run on your own servers. Alternatively a basic license can be purchased for software that simply communicates with the Outpost device and inserts data into a database table.
